Tautoko Session - LGBTTQIA+ Mahi and Research Communities
Event description
This Tautoko session welcomes all queer researchers, those leading or contributing to LGBTTQIA+ kōrero, and allies to another session for connection, tautoko, and exploring what our queer communities need.
Community Research is in the process of developing a Special Collection of research and resources for LGBTTQIA+ communities. It aims to make queer-led research more visible, accessible, and connected, providing kaitiakitanga for queer research and celebrating the diversity within queer communities, including perspectives of tangata whenua, MVPFAFF+, and more. Welcoming all forms of knowledge-making, the collection aims to uphold Te Tiriti, amplify queer voices, and strengthen ties between folks in diverse queer spaces. (You can find out more about it here.)
We heard last session that folks in these communities appreciated the chance to connect, and want to have at least one more session to do so, so we're hosting another event and all are welcome to attend (whether you attended the previous session or not).
It was wonderful to hear about all the different mahi occurring in these spaces and we look forward to connecting again. We ask you to think about 'what's a resource which our community could benefit from' and 'what existing research or mahi should more people know about'?
If possible, please consider a donation
Community Research is a not-for-profit organisation and we would love your support to help us continue to champion research by and for communities. If you are able, please consider adding a donation when you register for this webinar. Ngā mihi maioha.
