    Event description

The world of work has changed forever - with the pandemic triggering a permanent shift in people’s work preferences, and 38% of Australians planning to leave their job over the next 12 months.

Amid this war for talent, we'll explore PwC's research into the priorities of workers - drawing on a survey of more than 1,800 Australians - and how those priorities change across gender, generation and geography.

And, as the power dynamic between organisations and workers continues to change, we'll also learn more about the growing expectation gap between what leaders believe workers want, versus what they're actually looking for. Our presenters, Caitlin Guilfoyle, Future of work Growth Play Leader and Gabriel Harris, Partner in Financial Services Consulting, will offer some insight into how we can bridge this gap by rethinking our Employee Value Proposition, using shared value principles.

As part of this session, we'll draw on PwC Australia's collaboration with Western Sydney University to create an award-winning Operations Delivery Centre in Parramatta, which exclusively employs undergraduate and post-graduate students. The initiative addresses the challenge for young workers in Western Sydney to find employment, whilst helping the team to build a truly diverse and talented workforce.

The Workforce of the Future webinars form part of the Shared Value Project's inaugural Speaker Series. The series will explore topical conversations related to purpose and business, leveraging the expertise within the shared value community. You can find a list of all our other events here.
