Introduction:
The transition from fertility to infertility due to the decline of hormones is referred to as climacteric. During this period, both men and women may experience various discomforts and symptoms. This course will explain the therapeutic role of Chinese herbal medicine in male and female menopause, including the differentiation of TCM patterns (manifestation patterns vs. fundamental patterns). In terms of herbal formulas, applications of Guī-Lù-Èr-Xiān-Jiāo, Liù-Wèi-Dì-Huáng-Wán, Xiāo-Yáo-Sǎn, and Zī-Shuǐ-Qīng-Gān-Yǐn will be discussed in the context of male and female climacteric management.
