From the perspective of traditional Chinese medicine, menstrual disorders are often caused by qi stagnation, blood stasis, qi deficiency and blood deficiency. The above conditions will cause dysmenorrhea, scanty menstruation, and profuse menstruation. In this lecture, Master Dong’s acupuncture as well as traditional Chinese herbal medicine will be discussed. Master Dong’s acupoints such as Si-Hua-Shang and Men-Jin are used for dysmenorrhea. Traditional herbal formulae such as Tong-Yu-Jian and Qing-Re-Tiao-Xie-Tang are used for dysmenorrhea.
