It's Transgender Day of Visibility on the 31st of March 2022! A day to celebrate the lives of our transgender brothers, sisters, siblings, parents, cousins, and ourselves!

TransFolk of WA are hosting an online panel with 4 of Perth's most influential trans people to discuss what transgender visibility means to them, talk about lived experiences, and more!

And at the end of the panel, you (yes, that's right! YOU!) will have a change to ask our panellists your own questions!

And I bet you're wondering, "That sounds amazing! How do I ask a question?"

Well, firstly, that WAS a question! But to ask the panellists a question, simply choose the Q&A ticket option when you book your spot in the audience of our panel. You can make a small gold coin donation, donate a cool million, or anything in between. Donate what you can within your own means. 100% of the proceeds raised through donations will go directly to us (TransFolk of WA) to be put straight back into our community.

This years panellists are Marziya Mohammedali, Aves Robins, Jaime Page, and Aidan Maximo!

So, secure yourself a ticket to watch the panel this Transgender Day of Visibility, and if you're feeling oh-so-charitable and have a question burning a hole in your brain, please pop a donation through to us!

So, who's on the panel?

Marziya Mohammedali (They/Them/Theirs)
Photographer / Poet / Artist

Marziya is a writer, graphic designer, artist, photographer, teacher, and all round gem of a human! Marziya's main aspiration as a photographer is to capture the world around them to remind themselves how amazing the world can be, and has authored a series of poetry that complements these stills.

Marziya also helps maintain the Koroga Project, a collaboration between Kenyan poets and photographers that focuses on telling "Another African Story" through voices and images brought to life by the artists themselves.

Aves Robins (She/Her/Hers)
Comedian

Aves Robins is an award winning comedian from Perth, who recently won the 2021 RAW Comedy WA award. Aves deadpan comedy styling, coupled with her dry jokes about being trans, has rocketed Aves to local success here in WA.

Aves has made a name for herself on stage for tackling the issues of family, gender, sex, and dating in a side-splittingly hilarious way.

Jaime Page (She/Her/Hers)
Guitarist / Musician

Jaime is a reknowned musician that has played in a wide variety of bands over the years, including her original project "Dark Universe". Her greatest claim to fame is having had Brian May (Yes, THAT Brian May) using one of her compositions!

Outside of the studio and the stage spotlight, Jaime is an LGBTQIA+ activist who has worked along side a number of advocacy groups, as well as with Senator Louise Pratt. Jaime takes pride in being herself, helping others be themselves, and being loud in the spotlight about who she is.

Aidan Maximo (He/Him/His)
Case Management Officer

Aidan has been an active member in the Perth LGBTQIA+ community for many years, becoming a Peer Educator for trans and non-binary youths. With a Bachelor of Arts majoring in Psychology, Aidan is now midway through his Juris Doctorate at the University of Western Australia, one of Australia's most prestigious law schools.

Aidan has been involved in a number of LGBTQIA+ events throughout the years, marching in the Pride WA Parade, and serving as the Queer Representative of the Blackstone Law Society in 2021.
