Te Huinga Kōtuku Presents: Lock In, Don't Get Played - A Gambling Harm Awareness Event

Te Huinga Kōtuku, the specialist gambling and gaming addictions support service provided by Purapura Whetū, warmly invite you to join us to wrap up Gambling Harm Awareness Week for the month of September.

We invite you to join the official screening of Te Huinga Kōtuku's ad campaign - "Lock in, don't get played!" - a series of three short ads where we explore everyday scenarios where our devices, screens and gambling platforms take away our attention from our surroundings!

We'll hear from an exciting guest speaker presenting on the current state of Gambling Addictions through a te ao Māori lens. We're also excited to screen a short film documentary by Te Rangihaeata Oranga Trust (Heretaunga/Hawkes Bay) entitled 'Disconnect to Reconnect'.

This exciting event brings together Public Health Promotion messaging, a Clinical perspective as well as Lived Experience kōrero wrapped up into one hour for you to enjoy.
