Event description

Te pa Tuwatawata is non-mandated self management group that focuses on violence prevention supporting the tane in the whānau environment.

Te Pā Tūwatawata group sessions support tāne to strengthen their Hinengaro (mental wellbeing), Wairua (spiritual wellbeing), Tinana (physical wellbeing), and Whanau (relationship wellbeing). Sessions are once a week on Mondays for 1 ½ hours.

Below is a brief outline of session topics and content.

  • The Rubbish Bin: Managing emotions and Internal Rubbish Bin
  • Communications Styles: Words Have Power
  • Core Values: What’s Important to Me
  • Masks: How Do Others See Me and How Do I See Myself
  • Whakawhanaungatanga: Family and Relationships
  • Waka Ama: Waka Korero
  • RSVP Via the ticketing system or just turn up between the times advertised.

This group is an integral part of Whai Rawatia te Oranga (Pursue the wealth of health) | open Groups, our holistic health pursuit initiative. Open groups create a space of papa kainga ahi kā, a pā (a place where you feel connected and comfortable) to strengthen your hauora.

Taha Hinengaro (Mental and Emotional) wellbeing

Additionally Taha Whenua - connection to the land forms its foundation. Balancing these dimensions is crucial for overall wellness.
