A 1.5 hour free online workshop on Tuesday 6th December 10.00am to 11.30am

Communications in the Good Times & the Bad is a workshop designed for beginner to intermediate communications practitioners and volunteers in the not-for-profit sector. It will cover:

  • Planning, Priorities & Platforms - how your organisation’s objectives, audiences and brand values can help you to create a communications calendar and plan for the year
  • Making the Most of What You’ve Got - how to use your existing resources - staff and volunteers - to create compelling content, implement your comms, spread the word about your mahi, and become your own ambassadors
  • Surviving a Crisis - how and where things can go wrong, dealing with negative feedback and criticism, how to stop a crisis from escalating, and when to call in the experts.

Communications in the Good Times & the Bad will be presented by Kirsten Matthew. Kirsten is a former journalist, editor and author with more than 20 years’ experience working in New Zealand and the USA. Her public relations agency, Mabel Maguire, works with clients ranging from Toyota Global, to Auckland Council, to The Kindness Institute. Her previous webinar for Te Pūaha Talks, the Centre for Social Impact’s free online webinars funded by Foundation North for the not-for-profit sector, was rated highly by participants.
