Te Reo Māori for Beginners

Join this 5 week course to

• improve your te reo Māori pronunciation
• gain confidence using basic words and phrases
• learn to introduce yourself appropriately
• learn about marae & pōwhiri processes

Te Reo Māori teacher Kate White will run the sessions online via zoom over 5 consecutive Wednesdays, 11am - 12pm, starting June 8th. You can join from anywhere!

The course costs $50 - but if this is prohibitive for you and you are based in Mid Canterbury, you can choose to pay what you can afford.

Suitable for beginners or those who need a refresher to build confidence, all are welcome - Nau mai!

Lessons will be recorded and made available to those who've registered - so if you can't attend on a Wednesday, you can still join the course - just watch the lesson when it suits you that week and do the 10-30 minutes of online activities between classes. You will receive 1-1 feedback on your pronunciation through online tools/ videos.
