Te Reo Tautito presents an immersive reo Māori concert of all new arrangements and translations of modern jazz, RnB and pop. Led by Lisa Davies (Kāi Tahu) on keys and Te Kurawhiti Hitchens (Ngāi Tūhoe; Ngāti Porou) as kaiwaiata, they are joined on stage by the incomparable Solomona Davis on vocals and the brilliant Alice Tanner on cello.
'Te Utu o te Aroha' is a set of waiata that have been translated into te reo Māori by Lisa, based on her research into the language of old mōteatea aroha, and how that language can be used today in the composition and translation of modern love songs.Join us for a night of waiata, wairua aroha and te reo Māori.
