Te Toi Mahara

Te Toi Mahara is a three-day, immersive summit of Ngāpuhi-nui-tonu creative and cultural expression. 

The inaugural instalment of Te Toi Mahara will bring together Ngāpuhi-nui-tonu leaders, ahikā, change-makers, practitioners and artists together to share kōrero and experiences that explore te toi o te mahara - the origin of why and how we creatively express ourselves. Toi is more than just ‘art’. It is the peak expression of creativity and culture. Te Toi Mahara emerges from te ao wairua, from Hawaiki, and our people can be vessels for that emergence.
