Event description

Te Whare Pukenga o Rehua Ariki is a star constellation of special significance to Te Arawa. 

The primacy of this constellation pays homage to the supreme being, god Rehua Ariki who resides in Te Toi o ngā Rangi. Te Arawa have many unique kāhui whetu. Some of these kāhui whetu are venerated in the titonga ‘He Pōhuatau’ nā irirangi Tiakiawa. 

In conjunction with Under The Stars Exhibition - an annual exhibition celebrating Aotearoa’s national holiday, Matariki.
