Event description

Te Wiki Āhua o Aotearoa FW25

The system is broken. The promises that were made to us are no longer being kept. We were promised that studying hard and working harder would secure a future worth having. But no matter how many jobs we obtain or how qualified we are, we’re all barely staying afloat.

Creatives refuse to work for conglomerates that care more about turning profits than cultivating the arts. This leaves us the margins and footnotes of every conversation - and we left a lot unsaid in our past show week.

This March’s Te Wiki Āhua o Aotearoa FW25 continues to focus on promoting and platforming emerging and early career artists from all areas of Aotearoa’s creative scene.

No Kingdom Come

Step into a world where fantasy loses its luster and the line between dream and nightmare begins to blur. "No Kingdom Come" delves deep into the darker, more twisted realms of fairy tales—where magic no longer offers salvation and the comforting promise of happy endings dissolves into shadows.

Join designers Pascal Silliman, Elizabeth May, Ella Fidler, Ellanne, and Evulwrld as they weave a haunting tapestry of surreal visuals, fractured narratives, and unsettling beauty. This show takes you on a journey through escapism’s deepest corners, where even our most cherished fantasies falter. In the end, you’ll discover that sometimes the only way out is to face the darkness head-on.
