Te Wiki Āhua o Aotearoa - Tell Me I'm Pretty
Event description
Te Wiki Āhua o Aotearoa FW25
The system is broken. The promises that were made to us are no longer being kept. We were promised that studying hard and working harder would secure a future worth having. But no matter how many jobs we obtain or how qualified we are, we’re all barely staying afloat.
Creatives refuse to work for conglomerates that care more about turning profits than cultivating the arts. This leaves us the margins and footnotes of every conversation - and we left a lot unsaid in our past show week.
This March’s Te Wiki Āhua o Aotearoa FW25 continues to focus on promoting and platforming emerging and early career artists from all areas of Aotearoa’s creative scene.

Tell Me I’m Pretty
Step into the night where beauty is survival, excess is defiance, and the so-called “walk of shame” is reclaimed as a strut of power. ‘Tell Me I’m Pretty’ isn’t just a fashion show—it’s a rebellion wrapped in chains, sequins, and sheer audacity.
Featuring Banshee, Bridie Chapman, Isabella Miscisco, Siriene Yotwong, and Sherbert Lemon, this delicious lineup of designers blurs the lines between glamour and grit, euphoria and reckoning. Their collections channel the spirit of nightlife as both an escape and an act of resistance—drawing from club culture, queer history, and the unrelenting power of self-expression.
Expect high-shine drama, unapologetic sensuality, and silhouettes that dance between decadence and defiance. This is a tribute to those who found solace in the night and emerged in the morning—undefeated, radiant, and still beautiful.
