Event description

Tea Ceremony: A Return to Presence

In a world that moves fast, the tea ceremony invites us to slow down - to listen, to taste, and to arrive.
Rooted in the tradition of Chinese Cha Dao, this practice is a meditation in motion - a way of coming home to presence through the quiet ritual of tea.

Each bowl is a reminder to breathe, to soften, to be here. As the steam rises and the senses awaken, we return to the simplicity of being - to a place beyond words, where connection, stillness, and ease naturally unfold.

Limited to four guests, this intimate gathering in nature is an invitation to remember - to listen, soften, and return to the living moment that has never left.

Session Details

  • Duration: 1 hour

  • Seating: On the floor (cushions provided)

  • Not suitable for children (very hot water)

  • Limited to 4 guests per session

  • This ceremony takes place outdoors in the beautiful Blue Mountains Organic Community Garden.
Please park in the main car park and follow the signs to the tea ceremony space.
Dress comfortably and bring layers suitable for the weather.

Introductory Offering
For these first few tea ceremonies, I’m offering an introductory rate of $25 as an accessible invitation to experience this practice.
My wish is that finances never stand in the way of sharing tea in this way - so each session also includes one ‘Pay What You Can’ spot for those who need it.

Terms and Conditions

Refunds & Transfers
Due to the limited seating (only four spots), tickets are refundable up to 7 days prior to the event.
If you can’t make it, you’re welcome to gift or transfer your spot to a friend - just let me know their name before the ceremony.

Cancellations Due to Weather
This tea ceremony is held outdoors in the gardens, so the weather plays an important role.
If heavy rain or unsuitable conditions are forecast, I’ll make the call two days before the event.
If the ceremony needs to be cancelled due to weather, all guests will be notified by email and offered the choice of transferring to a future session or receiving a full refund.

Thank you for your understanding - and for sharing in the spirit of tea and presence.
