Tea Lore
Description
Join community herbalist and storyteller, Sarah Samms Velázquez, for some herbal tea while she explores the folklore of each herb in your cup. You will be invited to deepen your relationship with each plant through short writing exercises and guided meditation. At the end of class, you will have learned the plant lore of each medicinal herb in the tea blend and will go home with your own bag of tea from The Medicine House. All materials included.

Sarah Samms Velázquez is a storyteller and community herbalist whose work focuses on destigmatizing the human experience by encouraging us to reach out to nature for the sense of belonging we all need, especially right now.
In addition to Sarah's community herbalism work, she is also an essayist, poet, a radio journalist for Inside Appalachia, the founder of The Medicine House, an avid hiker, a music nerd, an art dabbler, and a traveler of mother earth's wonders and society's underbelly.
