practical tips, advice, and a selection of ready-to-use resources that will help you save time and implement the new syllabus with confidence
a sneak peek at our brand new QCE Chemistry resources coming for 2025
a demonstration of the new features and functionality launching on Oxford Digital from Term 1 2025, including Live Lesson mode – an Australian first that lets you to say goodbye to traditional print-based lesson plans in favour of perfectly timed and sequenced interactive lessons with integrated classroom activities that will drive classroom engagement and participation.

Meet the presenters

Dr Meriet Mikhail

Dr Meriet Mikhail was awarded a PhD in Medicine from the University of Sydney in 2005 and has been the recipient of various awards and grants, presenting at both national and international conferences for vaccine development and disease epidemiology. She is currently a QCE and IB senior chemistry teacher, with over 12 years of experience teaching QCE chemistry. Meriet is currently the Head of Chemistry at Anglican Church Grammar School and is a QCAA Subject Matter Expert for chemistry.

Catherine Millar

Catherine Millar commenced her professional journey after graduating from the University of Melbourne, when she embarked on a laboratory career. After completing a Master of Business Administration, she transitioned into healthcare management and assumed pivotal roles within Queensland Health.

Over the past decade, Catherine has dedicated herself to the field of education in Queensland independent schools. She has coordinated both Senior Chemistry and Junior Science and remains deeply committed to advancing the realms of both science and education. She was part of the ACARA Enhancing Mathematic Proficiencies Program and implementing the 2019 General Senior Syllabus and is currently involved in the implementation of the Australian Curriculum v. 9.0 at Moreton Bay College.
