Join our free QCE Physical Education Units 1–4 workshops to support the implementation of the new General Senior Syllabus 2025.  

Hosted by the expert team of QCE Physical Education teachers, authors and product developers at Oxford University Press, this workshop will include: 

  • an overview of key changes to the content and assessment of the new syllabus – what’s in, what’s out, what’s moved
  • practical tips, advice, and a selection of ready-to-use resources that will help you save time and implement the new syllabus with confidence 
  • a sneak peek at our brand new QCE Physical Education resources coming for 2025 
  • a demonstration of the new features and functionality launching on Oxford Digital from Term 1 2025, including Live Lesson mode – an Australian first that lets you to say goodbye to traditional print-based lesson plans in favour of perfectly timed and sequenced interactive lessons with integrated classroom activities that will drive classroom engagement and participation. 


Each attendee will receive:

• a FREE copy of Physical Education for Queensland Units 1 & 2 Student Book (Fourth edition) complete with digital access (available upon publication in December 2024, T&Cs apply*)

• a FREE copy of Oxford Study Buddy Revision and Exam Guide QCE Physical Education Units 3 & 4 complete with digital access.

Meet the presenters

Crystal Hede

Crystal Hede

Crystal Hede is a highly experienced Health and Physical Education teacher who is currently the Director of Teaching and Innovation at The Glennie School in Toowoomba. She has held several leadership positions throughout her career, including Acting Deputy Principal (Head of Curriculum), Head of Operations, Timetabler, and Head of Department (HPE). Her contributions to the HPE teaching profession have included establishing an online syllabus support network for more than 800 Queensland teachers; running professional development sessions for teachers; writing mock examinations for Quality Assessment Tasks Australia and presenting at state conferences. Crystal is also a QCAA Assessor – Endorsement (PE).   

Crystal will be presenting at the Brisbane and Gold Coast workshops. 

Kate Russell

Kate Russell  

Kate Russell has taught Health and Physical Education in Queensland in both the private and public sector for 14 years. She is currently Head of Health and Physical Education at The Glennie School in Toowoomba. As a district review panellist, Kate has contributed to the development of the Physical Education syllabus over many years, and she has been a QCAA External Examination marker for four years. Kate is the host of an online Senior Physical Education network for more than 800 Queensland teachers, supporting Senior PE teachers through consultation, advice and resource sharing. As well as developing mock examinations and resources for the PE external exam, Kate has also presented at ACHPER state conferences.    


Kate will be presenting at the Brisbane and Sunshine Coast workshops.
