Travel instructions

The Museum can be reached by train, tram, or bus. The closest tram Stop to the Museum is 'Art Gallery' which is located approximately 100m away on North Terrace. The closest train station is Adelaide railway Station located 600m west of the museum on North Terrace. There are a number of bus stops along North Terrance and King William Road.

Entry instructions

As this event starts before the Museum opens to the public, we will meet you on the front lawns by the main entrance. Late arrivals please call Natalie Castree on 8273 9115 to be admitted to the building. This entrance is stair free.

Hazards

There is lift access to the workshop room, however some larger powerchairs may have difficulty navigating this heritage listed building. Please contact us at education@samuseum.sa.gov.au if you have questions about access.

Toilet location

The accessible toilets in the Museum are located on the ground floor at the end of the World Mammals gallery. An accessible toilet is also available next to the workshop room.

Accessible parking

There is an accessible car park available on a first-come-first-serve basis behind the main museum building. Enter via the boom gate on Morgan Thomas Lane (off Kintore Ave). To enter use the intercom to let security know that you are here for the Educator professional learning event at the Museum and that you have a valid access parking permit. A valid permit must be displayed at all times when using this parking space.
