Teaching Workshop on Examination of Synovial Fluid for Crystals 2025
Event description
The workshop will provide an in-depth exploration of various aspects related to the assessment and care of patients with acutely inflamed joints. It will begin with an explanation of this assessment's critical role in patient care.
Participants will gain an overview of the pathogenesis and management of crystal-induced disorders, followed by a description of the scientific principles underlying polarised microscopy. Practical tips on enhancing accuracy and avoiding common pitfalls when examining synovial fluid will be outlined.
Additionally, all attendees can analyse fluids during interactive sessions using polarising microscopes with images displayed on a large screen, allowing ample opportunities for discussion and interaction among participants.
Limited registrations are available.
