Artificial Intelligence (AI) is Dr. John Flackett's passion and has been an integral part of his career via teaching, research, business and education. A leader in his field, John has been working in AI for nearly 30 years and achieved his PhD in Artificial Intelligence (Machine Learning (ML) and Natural Language Processing (NLP)) in 2005.

Speaker Bio:

Dr. John Flackett is the co-founder and head of AiLab (Artificial Intelligence Laboratory - www.ailab.com.au/); a global company with offices in the UK, Australia, and New Zealand. AiLab provides AI education programs, research, and assists companies with effective strategies for implementing AI. Working in AI for nearly 30 years, John is an international AI speaker, educator, and advisor. A highly respected expert in the field of AI and a recognised leader in the AI community, John holds a PhD in Artificial Intelligence and has received various awards. He previously spent a decade as a senior university academic teaching AI and Software Engineering in the UK. Additionally, John was the AI Specialist in Residence and AI Ambassador for Auckland University of Technology, served as a member of the Australian Federal Government’s Artificial Intelligence Action Plan Committee, is a PhD supervisor to university students researching AI and is the co-founder of Adelaide AI – the largest AI networking community in South Australia.
