TED Circles: The gift and power of emotional courage

This event has passed Register

Event description

Welcome to TED Circles - a conversation hosted by Circulo.

The format is very simple - watch a TED Talk and have a conversation about the talk with other people over Zoom. Think of it like a book club for TED talks where like-minded people meet to explore topics and consider different perspectives.

This month's theme is "Resilience", and the TED Talk/topic we will be exploring is - The gift and power of emotional courage.

In this talk, Harvard Medical School psychologist Susan David shares how the way we deal with our emotions shapes everything that matters: our actions, careers, relationships, health and happiness. Her TED Talk has over 7 million views, is deeply moving, humorous and potentially life-changing. Susan discusses emotional agility - the psychology of how we can use emotion to bring forward our best selves in all aspects of how we love, live, parent and lead.

Please plan to watch the TED Talk (16 minutes) beforehand so that we can maximise our time together.

This session will be held online over Zoom and you will receive the Zoom details after you register for the event.
