Witness the Journey, Celebrate the Performance

In our EcoTheatre Summer Camp an extraordinary group of local and international teenagers begin a creative adventure by immersing themselves in theatre, nature and community and collaboratively creating an original interpretation of The Iliad as a final performance to celebrate their journey together.

Like Homer's epic, their journey is not simply about conflict. It is about the choices we make when faced with fear, uncertainty and change. It asks what it means to find courage, to build trust, to stand together as a community, and to hold onto hope in an oft divided world. As they journey together, this ancient story will come to life through their own experiences and perspectives, becoming a powerful new performance exploring war, humanity and hope.

As the campers grow together over these ten days, so too will the performance. Drawing on their own experiences, imagination and discoveries, they will transform one of the world's oldest stories into something entirely new—one that speaks with the voices of today's generation.

On Saturday 8 August, these young people will step onto the stage to share everything they've created together. For many, this will be their first experience performing before a live audience, making your presence one of the greatest gifts you can give. A warm, supportive audience helps build confidence, celebrates courage and shows these young artists that their voices matter.
