Tempered Glass Mosaics with Marian Shapiro

Come and join award winning mosaic artist Marian Shapiro for this workshop on Tempered Glass Mosaic. You will use paint, papers and other materials under tempered glass (crash glass), combined with other materials to produce an exquisite, small hanging mosaic (25 cm x 25 cm) suitable for interior display.

Appropriate mosaic materials sufficient for a small mosaic are provided, but you are very welcome to bring extra materials to make your piece unique and personal. Presentations will give you lots of inspiration. You will receive detailed notes and as classes are small, lots of individual attention. And of course, your mosaic creation to take home.

This workshop is suitable for all levels from beginners to people with mosaic experience wanting to try a new technique.

An optional grouting session will be held on Friday 18th July from 9am-11am (which is included in the workshop cost).

About Marian

Originally trained in art and theatre in the UK, Marian has been a full-time working artist since 2003. Shown and collected nationally and internationally, she has been commissioned by many private clients in Australia, the UK, USA and Canada and has several public and commercial works in Sydney. Fees:  Early bird $190 up to 25th May incl GST.  After 25th May $230 incl GST.  Plus a materials fee of $35 payable on the day.  Payment in full is required which includes a non-refundable deposit of $75
