Event description

Given the onset of unprecedented antisemitism that many Melbourne community members may be facing for the first time, there is a vast opportunity to provide tactical tools and real world solutions on how to best navigate this level of hatred. Brandon Farbstein provides a unique perspective, with his lived experience in the face of adversity in a world not designed for someone with a rare form of dwarfism. As a sought out thought leader and widely followed Jewish influencer, Brandon has leveraged his platform of over 250,000 followers to shine a light on antisemitism and provide greater awareness for the release of the hostages.

Brandon was recently part of a delegation in Israel where he met with former PM Neftali Bennett in addition to Rachel Goldberg, mother of American born hostage Hersh. His connection to the hostages is direct as he and Hersh went to preschool together. Brandon’s message of Tikkun Olam and empowerment on how to use your voice for change is especially relevant today.

In his inspiring keynote, Brandon provides tangible takeaways to audience members across generations on how they can live a Ten Feet Tall life no matter their physical stature or life circumstance. He shares how embracing our own uniqueness equips us to face life’s challenges with a sense of empathy and resilience.

Bio: Brandon Farbstein is a 25 year old Los Angeles based global speaker, activist, and author. He inspires millions of people across the globe with his universal message of living life on your own terms and building the framework for self-acceptance.

Born with an extremely rare form of dwarfism, Brandon has turned his life experience of suffering, isolation, and victimhood into empowerment, impact and influence. After a severe battle with cyberbullying in high school, he decided to share his story to both offer hope and to enact change. Brandon was the driving force behind two new pieces of legislation that were signed into law in Virginia (USA) by the time he turned 18. The first addressing bullying prevention and the other requiring empathy and emotional intelligence to be taught in all K-12 classrooms across the state.

Whether sharing his message with thousands of students at a time, empowering readers with his books Ten Feet Tall & A Kids Book About Self-Love, or working with Fortune 100 companies like Meta, HP, and Marriott, Brandon consistently delivers tools to audiences of all ages to shatter limiting beliefs, elevate their mindset, and create an amplified life.

He frequently advises foundations, boards, and large scale organizations on their belonging + social impact efforts, especially towards the disability community - the largest minority group in the world comprising 15% of the global population. Brandon currently serves on multiple boards in addition to being a Founding Partner of Daniel Lubetzky’s Starts With Us movement.

Brandon continues to break barriers and pave the way for people who often feel invisible. In 2020, Brandon made his runway debut at NY Fashion Week wearing Tommy Hilfiger Adaptive and has become a sought-after voice for inclusion. With his mission to Elevate Empathy®️, Brandon was named Instagram’s #19under19 as one of the most influential young people in the world. Most recently, LinkedIn recognized Brandon as a Top Voice for global disability advocacy. Brandon has amassed a global following of over 250,000 followers across his platforms.
