UniSC student theatre directors from DRA 202: Directing Performance present the 2025 10-Minute Play Festival: All the Plays that Can Fit in Under Two Hours.
DRA 202: Directing Performance’s students welcomes friends, families and the university community to their 10-Minute Play Festival. Each of the plays are produced as part of a public-facing course assessment. Please join us for an evening of short plays including:
Book of Life by Judy Klass, Bullet Always Wins by Erik Christian Hanson, Color Me Complete by Rose-Emma Lambridis, For a Moment, Rehatched by Susan Goodell, The Home for Retired Canadian Girlfriends by John Bavoso, Last Dance with MJ by Lindsay Partain, Lobster Quadrille by Don Nigro and Meanwhile at the Pentagon by Jenny Lyn Bader. All plays from The Best New Ten-Minute Plays, 2021.
This is an amateur production by arrangement with Bloomsbury Publishing, Inc.
Content Warning: Adult Themes, Adult Language, Snap Blackouts and Sexual References. The first play of the evening, Bullet Always Wins, discusses the aftermath of a school shooting. Audience members may enter the theatre after this production.
Tickets: All performances are free. Seating is general admission.
Performance Dates:
Tuesday, June 10th. Performance starts at 6:00 pm
Wednesday, June 11th. Performance starts at 6:00 pm
Anticipated Run-Time: 100 minutes inclusive of a ten-minute intermission after the fourth play.
Location: K1.G.09 Performance Studio on the Sippy Downs campus. It is next to carparks P6 & P7 and the Art Gallery.
Other information: Late arrivals may be permitted entry in between plays. However, please endeavour to arrive early. Doors open 15 minutes prior to the performance.
