Event description

Ten Years of Astrobiology in Aotearoa marks a decade since New Zealand took its first steps into this exciting, interdisciplinary science—exploring the origins, evolution, and future of life in the Universe. Supported by the U.S. Embassy as part of the 150 Years of U.S.–NZ Scientific Partnership, this celebration brings together NASA scientists, international experts, and leading New Zealand researchers for a series of events across the country. Join us at Tauranga Astronomical Society for a panel discussion with Sarah Marcotte (NASA JPL), Dr Sanjoy Som, and Dr Graham Lau. It’s a rare opportunity to engage directly with the people advancing the search for life beyond Earth, and to inspire the next generation of explorers and scientists.
