Tender and True Connection Workshop: A Playful Exploration of Vulnerability and Authentic Connection
Event description
Tender and True – A Free Community Gathering To Playfully Explore Vulnerability, Authentic Connection and Sound
What if being vulnerable didn’t have to feel so serious? What if it could actually be fun — full of laughter, connection, and those delicious “oh wow, me too” moments?
Join us for Tender & True, a morning dedicated to exploring vulnerability, what it means to you and how that impacts how you show up with yourself and others. Together, we’ll explore what it feels like to be open, grounded, and authentically ourselves… with a dose of fun along the way. This is an all-inclusive event open to all genders, ages and backgrounds.
Maz will kick things off with playful Authentic Relating games that help you drop the mask, let go of small talk, and discover the magic of connecting from the heart.
Vanessa will guide you through a gentle anchoring process to help you feel confident and steady as you open up. You’ll learn how to stay connected to yourself, trust that it’s safe to be seen and how to take that assurance into everyday life.
We will wrap up with a soothing sound journey filled with crystal singing bowls, hardpans, chimes and other vibrational instruments to flow into the day feeling relaxed, connected and alive.
Expect a morning of real conversation, warm moments and laughter – come as you are as no experience necessary. We can’t wait to share with you!

MEET YOUR FACILITATORS
Maz
In 2021, Maz found himself at an Authentic Relating workshop after years of feeling disconnected; caught in cycles of gaming and binge eating to numb a deep sense of loneliness.
Through power of vulnerability, curiosity, and empathy, he discovered what it truly meant to connect — with others and with himself.
Today, Maz runs Authentic Relating workshops across Sydney while completing his Master of Clinical Psychology, creating spaces where people can rediscover the magic of being real, open, and deeply human.
Vanessa
Vanessa’s journey through grief, heartbreak and deep self enquiry led her to rebuild her life from the inside out.
She is now a transformational coach and sound alchemist, weaving the art of self-inquiry together with sound medicine to invite others to meet themselves deeply in authentic self expression and reclaim their inner power.
She leads sound journeys, mindfulness workshops and nature-based ceremonies throughout western Sydney and the Blue Mountains.
