Tennant Creek - Investment Opportunity in Your People and Organisation: Activate Positive Duty Workshop
Event description
Tennant Creek - Activate positive duty workshop
The NT Anti-Discrimination Commission and the Department of Education and Training invites businesses and organisations in Tennant Creek to a free interactive workshop on activating positive duty, a new legal obligation designed to create workplaces that are safe, inclusive, equitable and respectful for employees and customers.
This interactive session will unpack the legal concept of positive duty: a proactive requirement for organisations to take reasonable, proportionate steps to prevent discrimination, sexual harassment and victimisation. It is more than compliance, it is an investment in organisational culture, reputation and sustainability.
Commissioner Yogaratnam applies a systems-thinking approach to help organisations lead in their sector, setting benchmarks for cultural transformation. By attending, you will gain practical insights on how to de-risk through systems-thinking changes, reporting annually on your positive duty performance and learn about the benefits of positive duty as a driver of productivity, wellbeing and trust.
A morning tea will be provided.
Places on the workshop are limited to 25 people, so please register early.
