Art After School - Term 1 2025

Where: Wagga Wagga Art Gallery
Join us for a new series of hands-on workshops at Art After School! This term, we’ll look at 6 different exhibitions in the Main Gallery and National Art Glass Gallery. Inspired by the drawings of Merric Boyd in the exhibition, Fantastic Forms, each student will receive a sketchbook at the beginning of the session and throughout the 6 weeks we’ll start the joyful and meditative practice of keeping a sketchbook.
Students will learn different drawing techniques as well as cartoons, collage, frottage and assemblage and even pop-up creations! Each week, class will take place in a different gallery space and students will be encouraged to experiment with new materials and creative ideas inspired by the artworks in our exhibitions.
