Term 1 2025 Dungeons and Dragons for teens! FREE
Event description
Call of Cthulhu: Frozen Abyss
An Immersive, Mystery/Horror themed Call of Cthulhu campaign for Auckland teens/tweens aged 10-15 in Term 1 of 2025. Over 9 weeks, The players will explore and uncover mysteries in the deep Canadian wilderness in a fight for survival. The campaign is set in a harsh winter of 1922 off the coast of Glacier Bay, Canada. As madness and paranoia take hold and the weather worsens, the players soon realise that something is lurking, just out of sight, stalking their every move from the icy depths.
Shadowrun:
Anarchy system, which is a narrative focused version of Shadowrun Fifth Edition. Shadowrun takes place in an alternate future where magic returned to Earth after a 6000 year hiatus in 2012. It's basically like a mix of Cyberpunk: Red and D&D.
In the scenario I will be running, players will begin as ambitious rookie shadowrunners (disposable mercenary operatives) who run afoul of the wrong people on a job. Let me know if you want a more exciting hook for advertising or whatever.
FYI: These campaigns use the TTRPG (Tabletop roleplaying game) system.
Call of Cthulhu and Shadowrun are similar yet different to DND with separate rules. Due to the nature of Call of Cthulhu please be aware that this campaign will contain elements of Psychological/Lovecraftian Horror and is not advised for people under the age of 10. (Anyone who has previously completed a full Call of Cthulhu campaign with the ReCreators at Ponsonby/Massey will be fine).
Sessions will take place every Friday from 4pm to 6pm at the Ponsonby Community Center. Starting on the 14th of February there will be 9 sessions ending on the 11th of April. Only 8 seats are available for this class so book ASAP.
Players will not need to bring anything in order to play but you may bring any of the following:

Please note that that players need to follow instructions given by the host, it is a collaborative not competitive game. If instructions are not followed, it will disrupt the game for all players. Please let us know if your child has any issues with this.
