REQUIREMENTS: Intermediate students only. Please bring along your own tools, towel and apron. Covered shoes are essential.

Classes are for adult members of the Anglesea Art House. Go to the website to join and pay prior to registering for this class if you are not a financial member.

INFORMATION: intermediate

The class introduces students to the medium of clay by exploring wheel  throwing techniques. A bag of clay and firing of 3 kgs is included. A cost is incurred for additional firing .

Students will also be taught the process of preparing clay, wheel throwing including centring, throwing cylinders and bowls, turning.

The students will also learn surface decoration and glazing. 

Each week a method will be demonstrated and supervised by the tutor to achieve various outcomes.

Intermediate and experienced students can choose to follow the method with the class or discuss their intended project with the tutor and work at their own pace
