Watercolour classes with Tony Bramwell
These classes are structured for those watercolourists who wish to expand their knowledge and the varying use of watercolour in their work.
Classes are run on a “ masterclass” system where Tony will choose a subject and provide some preliminary artwork, and proceed to paint the work in stages.
Each participant receives personal and hands on help and advice during the completion of the piece.
Our subjects range from boats, farms, old buildings, landscapes, seascapes, flowers, streetscapes. Our sample work s usually one of Tony’s paintings but we do use influence and direction from some of the best artists in this field.
While we look for direction and methods form other artists , the main purpose is to promote participants to learn their own style of presentation.
We have a good social interaction in our groups, some laughs and generally a good time discovering more about this wonderful medium.

Materials

300 gsm rag cotton watercolour paper. Either pad form or loose sheets.

Tubes of watercolour. Suitable palette (one which allows plenty of mixing space is preferable). Watercolour brushes soft with good points, not bristle brushes. Hand towel, tissues, masking tape. Drawing board ( about 500 x 400 MDF 3 mm thickness).

This is a suitable starting point, and there may be a need to expand some of these materials.

Note:

Minimum numbers are required for the class to run.

If the minimum numbers for this class aren’t reached you will be notified by email one week before the start date that it has been cancelled.
