Term 1 2025 Back to Basics with Watercolour - Tutor Mim Hercus

An evening session of the very popular BACK TO BASICS WITH WATERCOLOUR. This course is open to Anglesea Art House Members Only. 

This is the course for you if you have ever wondered what creating artwork with watercolour involves, and how to get the best from it. 

With the gentle guidance of Mim Hercus, participants will be going right back to the very start. Over six weeks, Mim will help foster a solid understanding of some of the basic principles, tools and techniques to using watercolour, with the main aims being to instil confidence to let yourself enjoy the magic it can be, and to let go of any intimidation when it comes to using the medium.

ALL MATERIALS ARE INCLUDED - the only tools you will need to bring are a notebook and a pencil.

** Participants will have the amazing opportunity to try many of the watercolour variables in the first week and determine which ones they might prefer to use in their own watercolour journey. For subsequent sessions, the Anglesea Art House will supply paint, paper, brushes and other incidentals. If you have some watercolour supplies looking for action, bring them along and enjoy getting to know them through specifically selected exercises!
