Term 3 MON Family Yoga and Nature Play
Event description
Join us on Monday afternoons at a beautiful private property in Wallington. Surrounded by trees, open space, and wildlife, this program is designed to nurture physical, emotional, sensory, and social development.
Begin with a family yoga session led by Abby, an experienced yoga teacher. Then, watch on or join the fun as your family explores the environment through a variety of nature-based invitations. Your family can engage with the space through yoga, nature play, nature-inspired art and craft, muddy play, rope play, bushwalks, flora and fauna exploration, and more.
We know it takes time to feel comfortable with new experiences and new learning. Our Yoga and Nature Play approach is often new learning for many families and children, but that’s ok because we value slow learning. It is for this reason our Yoga and Nature Play requires a full commitment to the term, and we do not offer trial days.
We have casual Nature Playgroup Stay and Play sessions on Mon, Tues and Thurs if you would like to experience the space before committing to the term.
We also understand that illness, holidays and sometimes the need to simply meet your child where they are at on a given day, can mean you miss some weeks. As long as you let us know prior, you can use the fee paid as credit on any of our programs over the following 6 months. Just email info@bornwildcommunity.org.au with your preference.
These sessions are open to families of all ages. Nature play will be guided by the children's interests and developmental stage.
TERM PAYMENT is our preferred commitment. Research shows that consistent participation in nature-based programs fosters deeper connections, greater developmental benefits, and stronger community bonds. If you have unique needs and can only commit to fortnightly or half term, please get in touch. We also can offer payment plans on request.
MULTI AGE GROUPS Our program targets children aged 0–14, with research consistently showing that younger children thrive by observing and learning from older peers, while older children build leadership and empathy skills. This approach fosters a rich, inclusive setting that supports a wide range of developmental needs.
NOT FOR PROFIT Born Wild Community is a not for profit charity, meaning all payments we receive are put back into improving our programs. We are required to meet minimum numbers and self support our programs. In the event a program does not meet minimum numbers, transfer to alternate days, or a full refund of the registration fee will be offered.
If you are NOT SURE if Born Wild Community is right for your young person, please contact us and we can provide additional information and options info@bornwildcommunity.org.au Please note the program does not have administration each day.
Unfortunately we are unable to offer refunds if you cannot attend, however get in touch and we can offer a credit to be used in the next 6 months at any of our Born Wild Community sessions.
