Term 4 - 2026 Fantasy Illustration Workshop

Fantasy Drawing – Term 4, 2026

Located in the heart of Bellingen at Happymess Studio, this creative program will be facilitated by Mitchell Timms, a local, Fine Arts-trained artist with a wonderful teaching style and a passion for inspiring young creatives. Mitchell brings a strong background in drawing, illustration and the human form, alongside a warm and encouraging approach that helps young artists build confidence and develop their own unique style.

Fantasy Drawing invites young artists to journey through imagination, character design and storytelling. Participants will explore fantastical worlds, develop original characters and experiment with drawing techniques to bring their ideas to life.

With a warm and supportive group atmosphere, each session begins with a shared afternoon tea and an imaginative warm-up activity before diving into the week's creative exploration. Participants will develop their skills in sketching, anatomy, character development, shading and illustration, while being encouraged to experiment, take creative risks and explore their individual artistic interests.

Throughout the term, young artists will work towards developing their own collection of fantasy-inspired illustrations, building technical skills, creative confidence and friendships along the way.

All materials and afternoon tea supplied. Participants will leave with their own visual diary filled with their creative explorations and artwork from throughout the term.

Limited spaces available, so early bookings are recommended.
