Term 4 Mathematics Olympiads Year 4, 5 & 6
Event description
A 7 session workshop in which students learn strategies to approach and solve Australasian Olympiad style questions. It teaches major problem solving strategies and strengthens students’ mathematical intuition.
The main aims of the program are to:
Introduce students to important mathematical concepts.
Teach major strategies and develop flexibility for problem solving.
Foster creativity and ingenuity and strengthen intuition.
Stimulate enthusiasm and enjoyment of mathematics.
Provide for the satisfaction, joy and thrill of meeting challenges.

ABOUT DANIELLE BLUMBERG
Highly regarded and sought after Head of Junior school with decades of experience. With a passion lying in gifted and talented education, Danielle is a believer that education is learnt at a deeper level than what can often be taught in a classroom. Danielle brings a multitude of teaching methods and thinking styles to her students. Danielle also believes true education is inclusive of teachers, students and the students families working in partnership.

Danielle has had 20 years working in the Independent Education sector in Sydney. She is a passionate educator with expertise in Gifted Education, establishing two school wide programs during her school career.Â
Danielle knows first hand the needs of Gifted Students and enjoys working with students in the twice-exceptionality range. Her undergraduate study in Special Education and her postgraduate study in Gifted Education gives her solid grounding in these areas. Most recently Danielle was the Head of Junior School at Masada College and prior to taking the Head of school position, was Head of Academic care, implementing a Stage Three High Potential Learners' program.
This Term 4 course will captivate students with a thirst for problem solving, strategies and deeper learning.Â
