Term 4 Wildflower Kids Bush Playgroup
Description
Join us on Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday morning at a beautiful private property in Wallington/Ocean Grove. Surrounded by trees, open space, and wildlife, our playgroups are designed to nurture physical, emotional, sensory, and social development.
We are 100% outdoors, all weather playgroups with children fully supervised by their families. We keep a predictable rhythm of connection, play, and story. We explore our space with nature-inspired activities. Flora and Fauna observation is a big part of what we do, with the group led and planned for by an ecologist and teacher.
Playgroup sessions are open to children aged 0-5 years. Our Playgroups run alongside our Supported Drop-Off Bush Kinder and Born Wild Academy (Nature School). This model allows us to keep fees low, particularly for families with multiple children.
You may even choose to continue your journey with us after Bush Playgroup into our 3 hour Bush Kinder or 5.5 hour Born Wild Academy (Nature School) programs.
We ask for a full term commitment for our Bush Playgroups. We’ve noticed it takes time to build up a connection with the playgroup community and a unique environment such as ours.
If you are looking for a casual offering or would like to try out the space before committing, you can sign up to our 1-hour casual Stay and Play sessions. These run alongside our other programs at various times Mon, Tues and Weds.
If our session does not fill or we have known absences, we may open up casual spots. Keep a look out on the day prior to playgroup for this option.
We know that with illness, holidays and meeting our children where they are at, sometimes attending weekly is hard. If you miss a session, you can join us for a catch up at any of our other sessions within the term or subsequent school holidays. We are always open to requests for reduced fees for pre-planned holidays, appointments etc. These need to be communicated prior to the term booking.
Unfortunately we are unable to offer refunds. If you choose to pull out before the term starts or part way through, and we have a waitlist, your place will be offered to another family. If they accept, we may be able to offer you a refund. This is subject to our discretion and is not guaranteed.
TERM PAYMENT is our preferred commitment. Research shows that consistent participation in nature-based programs fosters deeper connections, greater developmental benefits, and stronger community bonds. If you have unique needs and can only commit to fortnightly or half term, please get in touch. We also can offer payment plans on request.
MULTI AGE GROUPS Our playgroup program targets children aged 0-5, with research consistently showing that younger children thrive by observing and learning from older peers, while older children build leadership and empathy skills. This approach fosters a rich, inclusive setting that supports a wide range of developmental needs.
NOT FOR PROFIT Born Wild Community is a social enterprise and registered charity, meaning all payments we receive are put back into improving our programs. We are required to meet minimum numbers and are predominately self-funded. In the event a program does not meet minimum numbers, transfer to alternate days, or a full refund of the registration fee will be offered.
If you are NOT SURE if Born Wild Community is right for your young person, please contact us and we can provide additional information and options info@bornwildcommunity.org.au
Please note the program does not have administration each day.
