One day, two unmissable film events. Test Fest & The 48 Hour Best is a unique event that brings together two film festivals under one roof at the iconic Queens Theatre.

Test Fest will feature a day program of local film screenings, filmmaker Q&As, Crewlympics competitions (how fast can you set up a c-stand?), panel discussions, and much more. 

In the evening, we will present the Best of the Adelaide 48 Hour Film Project 2024, Adelaide's largest timed filmmaking competition. Join us for the awards ceremony and film screening as we find out who will take home the title of Best Film of Adelaide 2024 and represent our city in the international competition. Then we'll kick on with an after party with music, mingling and you guessed it, even more films.

Doors for Test Fest open at 12:00pm, with doors for The 48 Hour Best opening at 6:00pm. 

12:00 pm - Doors open
12:30 pm - Opening film screening, from filmmaker Anthony Frith
1:00 pm - First Test Screening, from filmmakers Bryce Kraehenbuehl and Alex Salkicevic. Followed by filmmaker Q&A.
1:45 pm - "That's Not How the Story Goes" Panel, featuring Scott Hicks, Anthony Frith and Jordy Pollock.
2:45 pm - Second Test Screening, followed by filmmaker Q&A
3:45 pm - "Finding Your Film Family" Panel
4:30 pm - C-Stand Relay finals
5:00 pm - "Ships That Bear", Moviejuice screening and Q&A
6:00 pm - Doors open for "48 Hour Best" evening event
7:00 pm - Adelaide 48 Hour Film Project "48 Hour Best" commences
9:00 pm - After Party
