    Event description

We’re excited to offer you a place at our low-cost cat desexing event to be held at our Peninsula Vet Clinic. The aim of this event is to make veterinary care more accessible to people and their pets. For $99, you can get your cat desexed and microchipped by one of RSPCA Victoria's dedicated and experienced veterinarians.

PLEASE NOTE- as a low-cost clinic we cannot provide post-operative care to your cat if complications arise.  If you have any concerns after surgery please contact or attend a local veterinary clinic or emergency centre at your own cost.  Closely following the post operative instructions will help minimise the risk of post surgery complications.

    What you need to know:

    • Cats must be over 1kg (at least 10 weeks of age) and under 8 years of age.
    • Appointments must be booked online in advance and spaces are limited
    • One ticket will be issued per individual cat and please select a male ticket for male cats and a female ticket for female cats to allow adequate time for the procedure
    • We can assist with a maximum of two cats per household.
    • There is a booking fee of $2.98.
    • This event has a no refund policy.
    • Please ensure all cats are secure in a carrier when dropped off and picked up from the clinic.
    • Only attend the clinic if you and your pet are healthy and well.

    Important notes:

Please comply with staff instructions, which may include directions such as:

    • Fasting your cat from 9pm the night before their surgery.
    • Advising the staff of any medical conditions or medications your cat has.
    • Please arrive at the clinic by 8.25am to ensure the day runs smoothly.
    • Listening to the staff as they explain the processes for the day.
    • Filling out paperwork on the day which will include a consent form and microchip form .
    • Returning to the clinic at an agreed time to collect your cat.
    • Following all safety instructions from our staff.
