Testing to improve nutrition for healthier crops (TAS)

Matthew Greenhills’ Farm

Add to calendar

Mon, 30 Nov, 8:45am - 11am AEDT

Overview

Join PotatoLink for an in-field demonstration of soil, sap and tissue sampling, and follow the analysis process through the laboratory.

Nutrition and disease management have been identified as priority topics for PotatoLink to focus on in Tasmania, so we have put together an event with AgVita to walk through their soil, sap and tissue testing process.

The event will commence in field, with a demonstration of how and when to sample for soil, sap and tissue testing, so you can test effectively and at the best times.  AgVita will then lead a tour of their laboratory facility for you to understand what you can learn from the analysis process.

We hope to answer the following questions during the event -

  • What do you learn from soil, sap and tissue testing?

  • How do you interpret the results?

  • How can testing inform your nutrition program?

  • How can better nutrition programs reduce your risk of plant disease

Biosecurity matters!
Please arrive in clean clothes, footwear, and a clean vehicle, and bring along an extra pair of clean shoes for our lab tour.

Registrations are essential - lab tour places are limited.
