Would you love to come to the Gender Revel Gala for free?

Would you like to help out at one of our many Trans Month events, Peer Support Programs such as attending PAX, or at our amazing gender affirming op shop, Affirmation Station?

Perhaps you're new to town and would you like to meet some more of the local trans and gender diverse community? Or maybe you have some specialist skills and are looking to give back to the community who have given so much to you?

Come volunteer with Transgender Victoria! We're running a series of Volunteer Information Sessions in preparation for Trans Month. We hope to see you there!

Sessions Dates & Times

Wednesday 23rd October, 12:30-1pm Lunch Time Session - ONLINE via Zoom

Wednesday 23rd October, 6-6:30pm After Work Session - ONLINE via Zoom

Thursday 24th October, 7:30pm-8pm Evening Session - ONLINE via Zoom

What to expect

• These sessions are a concise 30 minute summary of what it means to volunteer with TGV.
• The sessions will be run on Zoom in English, with slides depicting relevant information. 
• You are not required to actively participate during the session, but you will be welcome to ask questions or answer any questions thrown to the group. 
• The Volunteer Coordinator will hang around at the end of the 30 minute session to answer any queries you may have.
• Should you decide that volunteering with TGV is a good fit for you, after attending the session you will be sent a link to officially sign up as a volunteer!
• From there, further information will be shared around upcoming volunteer opportunities and roles based on the interests you have indicated. 

Who can volunteer?

• Any trans or gender diverse person, as well as allies of the community. 
  
• In person events are primarily held in Melbourne, with some also held in regional Victoria. However there are also opportunities to volunteer online, so you are able to volunteer from anywhere across Australia with an internet connection!
• There are a variety of opportunities to suit all abilities and neurodivergence types. 
• A moderate understanding of English will allow for the best experience as a volunteer.
• Participants must be 18 years and over.

Please note: You are only required to attend a single one of these sessions - we have offered a variety of times, but please reach out directly to volunteer@tgv.org.au if you are interested but unable to make any of the sessions offered and are particularly keen to help out at the Gender Revel Gala on 1 November. Otherwise there will be more information sessions coming up soon!
