We’re delighted to announce a strong line-up of outstanding speakers for our second Nutcracker series that highlights creative solutions for issues that occasionally become ‘tough nuts’ in export education.

Dr Ashit Mohan Maitra (University of Sydney), Assoc Prof Geoff Troughton and Dr Ranā Daoud (Victoria University of Wellington) will discuss whether the need for religious literacy has passed under host institutions’ radars – and why it matters. 

Assessing risks to international student welfare: An Australian, Canadian and New Zealand perspective.

Sean Stimson, Senior Solicitor, International Student Legal Service Redfern Legal Centre, Sydney and Earl Blaney, The Canada Network and Study2Stay will discuss risks to international student wellbeing and safety. Chris Beard, International Education Assoc Aotearoa CEO, will muck in as the Kiwi interlocutor.

Pratishtha Purohit, EduVenture founder and Fernmark licensee, will discuss how agents and local practitioners can work together to understand critical aspects of the student experience. Pratishtha will be joined by Rick Chapman Director, International Marketing at Griffith University in Australia.
