Event description
WORKING IT OUT Invites you to mark IDAHOBIT 2025.
May 17th each year is International Day Against Prejudice & Discrimination towards Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Trans and gender diverse people and people with Intersex characteristics. This date was chosen to commemorate the day of the World Health Organization’s decision in 1990 to declassify homosexuality as a mental disorder.
Tickets include a full buffet breakfast (see FAQs below for details), and the opportunity to hear from multiple guest speakers addressing our theme for 2025's Dorothies Awards - recognising The 2025 Dorothies theme is Excellence in LGBTIQA+ Inclusion in Tasmanian Workplaces. You will also be the first to hear the announcement of 2026's theme (TBC).
As well as, or in lieu of, purchasing your own ticket, you have the option to make a tax-deductible donation.
