Event description

The Adaptation Game is a multi-award winning narrative table-top game exploring the impact of climate change in local communities.

  • TAG uses storyful scenarios that merge local experience with climate science.

  • Tables of 4 players engage in guided storytelling, no one needs to be a “gamer” to play.

  • Narrative game play increases awareness of local climate risks, resilience strategies and local council programs.

  • Community storytelling and shared sense-making increases agency, both individually and in connection with others.

TAG supports players towards increased awareness of shared adaptation challenges in their local environment, which in turn inspires new dialogue and energy around the need to respond.

For the past 2 years we have successfully deployed TAG across 33 local Council and Community contexts globally.

We now seek to bring our experience in inspiring dialogue and mobilising action to organisations and help staff have rich conversations about adapting to a rapidly changing future.

In this 2 hour lunch and learn session you will have the opportunity to try The Adaptation Game with like-minded colleagues.
