The Addams Family
Event description
The Addams Family musical, with music and lyrics by Andrew Lippa and a book by Marshall Brickman and Rick Elice, brings the delightfully macabre Addams family to the stage in a heartwarming, funny, and spooky story about love, acceptance, and the chaos of family life.
The story centres on Wednesday Addams, the dark and twisted daughter of Gomez and Morticia, who has fallen in love with a "normal" young man named Lucas Beineke. When Wednesday confides in her father and begs him not to tell Morticia, Gomez faces a dilemma: keep his daughter's secret or be honest with his beloved wife.
To complicate matters, the Addamses invite Lucas and his conservative parents to dinner in an attempt to bring the families together. As the evening unfolds, secrets are revealed, relationships are tested, and the Addams ancestors rise from the dead to ensure the family's fate is sealed with truth and love.
Filled with clever humour, catchy songs, and eerie charm, The Addams Family celebrates the enduring power of love and the beautifully strange nature of every family.
