Description:
Discover the transformative power of contrast in this three-part workshop series designed to unlock your unique artistic voice through experimental painting techniques. Each session builds upon the last, guiding you through a journey of creative discovery and personal expression.
Experiment with mono-printing, mixed media, and painting from life while developing personal expression. Learn to embrace creative paradoxes—structure with spontaneity, precision with freedom—in a supportive environment designed for all levels.
Workshop 1: Embracing Duality
In our first session, we'll explore fundamental opposites in visual art—light and dark, smooth and textured, structured and organic. Through guided exercises and experimental techniques, you'll play with harnessing these contrasting elements.
Workshop 2: Breaking Boundaries
Our second workshop challenges conventional approaches to painting by introducing unexpected materials and techniques. We'll experiment with combining traditional and non-traditional media, exploring how the tension between opposing methods can spark innovation in your work.
Workshop 3: Synthesizing Your Voice
The final workshop focuses on integration—bringing opposing elements into harmonious dialogue that reflects personal artistic vision. You'll work on a culminating piece that synthesizes techniques from previous sessions while expressing your unique perspective.
