The Amazing Neighbourhood Race
Description
Ready to see if your street is the best in town?!
Gather your neighbours and enter “The Amazing Neighbourhood Race” today! This event is set to be a highly anticipated race combining competition, knowledge, community spirit, and fun!
Open to all ages, abilities, ethnicities, and genders… this is a fully inclusive event aimed at connecting neighbourhoods together and to their community.
Based on the hit reality TV show, The Amazing Race, we will have teams competing in several pit stops to earn as many points as they can to claim the bragging rights of “Supreme Street 2026 Winners”! Who wouldn’t want to boast that they live on the best street in town?! Plus, we will have heaps of other awesome prizes on the day to give out!
The aim of this event is to not only connect you with your neighbours, but to also give back to our community in a fun, collaborative way.
Be prepared to get your bake on, show off your creativity, build something new, share the love, and maybe even get soaked… this will be a day of laughter, excitement, spirit, and of course, connection.
So go on, go knock on all of your neighbours’ doors and see if they are keen to participate… if you do, you may just end up with a pretty awesome golden sign on your street showing everyone that your street is SUPREME!
FAQs
- How much does it cost to participate?
$20 per team which will go towards the cost of running the event.
We would also like to encourage each team member to bring a non-perishable item of food/toiletry item to go to a local food bank (this will also be used for one of the pit stops)!
- How many people do we need in a team?
6-8 People
If you can’t find enough people to get over 6, flick us an email and we can try to help. We also have flyers you can print and pop in your neighbours mailbox to help find more team members!
If you have more than 8 people wanting to join, we encourage you to make a second (or third, or fourth etc.) team. Just make sure you all have different team names!
- What age do I have to be to participate?
Almost any age can participate, but there are a few key things to note:
Any child under age 12 must be accompanied by a responsible adult at all times.
Babies/Toddlers aged 4 and under are allowed to come along provided the above rule is adhered to. They will not be included in the team’s total number of members. E.g. a mum and baby will be counted as one team member.
If you intend on using a wheelchair, walker, cane, mobility scooter, crutches, or any other aid, please let us know so we can ensure your team has ample space for activities.
- Can I make a team with other people who aren’t my neighbours?
This event is designed to connect neighbours to each other in a fun, new way. We encourage you to make your team with neighbours or people from your street/neighbourhood, however, we also understand that this may be difficult for some areas.
In some cases, we may have to merge people to form a team if they don’t have enough members, we will communicate this with them at the time.
Let us know if you need help with creating a team.

Some form of cooking/baking

A hands on, DIY task
