Discover the art of Ecstatic Dance DJing and Facilitation in an immersive workshop with Temple Step Project and Madhu Honey//Dj Nectar of Ecstatic Dance Melbourne. This course is designed to help you master the creation, performance, and facilitation of seamless, soulful dance experiences.

What you will learn:

In this workshop, you will delve into:

  • Music Discovery: Find the latest and most resonant music for your sets.
  • Playlist Curation: Develop a clear approach to organizing your existing and new music into an ecstatic dance arc that captivates your audience into a therapeutic dance experience.
  • Mixing Techniques: Master beat and harmonic mixing for smooth, seamless transitions. - 
  • Facilitation Skills: Gain expertise in facilitating embodiment and communal bonding practices to enhance the spiritual and communal aspects of your sessions.
  • Infusing live instruments and vocals:  Learn the technical skills it takes to add musical instruments and vocals into your sets for sound healing or integrating your musicianship. 
  • Recording Sets: Learn how to record your sets and promote yourself as a DJ.

What to Expect

Throughout the workshop, you will be taught signature techniques honed over 25 years of Ecstatic Dance DJing and space holding. Participate in hands-on sessions where you will practice and refine your skills in a supportive and vibrant community setting. By the end of the course, you will be able to confidently create and perform transformational dance experiences that leave dancers feeling deeply embodied and connected.

Meet your Facilitators 

Ben Temple Step, renowned international music producer and DJ, Temple Step Project has performed extensively across Australia, Bali, and the USA. As a sought-after wellness facilitator and audio producer, he has collaborated with clients such Dr. Joe Dispenza and many other wellness facilitators from around the globe. Specializing in producing music for Ecstatic Dance and conscious dance floors, Temple Step has been teaching Ecstatic Dance DJing globally for the past seven years. His dynamic sets and productions, featured at major festivals and Ecstatic Dance events, have earned him a prominent place in the wellness and dance communities. He was also the Co-Founder of Melbourne Ecstatic Dance and Dj curator. 

Madhu Honey is a seasoned facilitator, DJ, and ecstatic dance leader, blending the power of music, movement, and embodiment to create transformative experiences. With over two decades of lived experience delivering offerings both internationally and interstate represented in ceremony, workshop facilitation,  performance art and sound healing across major festival stages and community events.  Madhu ignited Ecstatic Dance Melbourne in 2018 after returning from Bali, inspired to share the common unity, embodied wellbeing and the power of music and movement as key elements toward an ecstatic lifestyle. EDM continues to lead the community in deep, soul-awakened dance journeys.  As a DJ, Madhu/DJ Nectar creates  intuitive, genre-spanning sets inviting the participant to surrender to the rhythm, embodying freedom and authentic self-expression. Madhu’s presence creates a space where the body’s wisdom leads the way, allowing individuals to release, connect, and transform. Her expertise in holding group containers in the arenas of dance somatic’s sound healing and embodiment workshops enhances her ability to guide others through ecstatic states, offering a permission slip to explore the full spectrum of human emotion. Through her leadership, Madhu nurtures a collective culture of wellness, connection, and personal empowerment, inspiring all who seek to reconnect with their essence through movement.
