Travel instructions

Google Maps directions are accurate, please use 2201 Laguna Street to arrive by car. Unfortunately the location is not very accessible to people using mobility aids and public transit, as it is about three blocks from a bus, on a steep hill with no curb cuts on some of the crosswalks. The "Downtown SB" bus stops are the nearest to the Old Mission.

Entry instructions

This conference will be primarily hosted in the Bonaventure Hall at the Santa Barbara Old Mission, adjacent to the I Madonnari festival on the Old Mission grounds.

After entry instructions

From the general admission parking lot, there are two ways to get to the conference: 1) If you can traverse stairs: Walk through the Children’s Chalk Area and turn right to go up the stairs to enter the Old Mission side portico. Registration will be on the southwest side of the green lawn. 2) Without needing to traverse stairs: Walk towards the main Mission steps until the pavement is level with the front portico. Enter onto the portico and head back southwest to the Porters office. Go through the Porters office and head west towards Bonaventure Hall. Registration will be on the southwest side of the green lawn.

Hazards

Toilet location

Toilets inside the Mission are accessible and located down the portico from Bonaventure Hall. An accessible and family-ready restroom towards the front of the Mission can be accessed by inquiring at the Porter’s Office.

Accessible parking

Accessible parking will be available. Precise locations and access during the festival is currently being finalized; details will be shared as soon as confirmed.

Lactation rooms

The facility does not have a specific room for lactation but if someone needs to use one of our offices, let the Facilities staff know and they can take them to one of the private offices.
